Loss of Direction by Klyde-Chroma Loss of Direction by Klyde-Chroma
This tattoo was done on one of the coolest individuals I know and also happened to be my first steam-punk-styled piece ever! In other words.... a pure joy of a piece to get to work on and a real honor to get to render.... I thoroughly enjoyed getting to do this one :)

The 1st steam punk design I've seen on flesh, great work! Love the details especially. I need a helping hand to get images of my back & rear tattoos, which are very old now & faded or blurred as tatts do over time.

Fret not friend, even the oldest nastiest tats can be "brought back to life" so to speak! Find the right artist and they can look far better than they ever did!

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

This is one of the most beautiful tattoos ever! I love tattoos, but this one is just mind blowing. You have an amazing talent and your passion really shows, plus your steampunk design is pure epicness. I love the shading and colors, everything just spells perfection! You're better than Kat Von D (even though she is pretty amazing herself). I want to get a tattoo done by you!

Ahhh good eye my friend!! I am surprised you picked up on the subtle way I like to add little shades to my graywashes in particular areas.... Most of the time the result is not quite as pronounced or noticable and is more or less a technique I use to enhance how clearly things "read".

Now onto the true reply to your expressed kindness... To know someone out there noticed my passion and even allowed the thought of contrasting me with Kat in their nogan is enough to plaster a perma-smile on me all day. Thank you so much..... Artists being better or worse then one another is, obviously, a subjective matter... But one thing I can say, is I am a HECK of alot cheaper-LoL

If your ever in northeast pennsylvania or want to make the trip we can set up something and I'd be honored to work on you :)

Wonderful work! It's plain to see that you put a lot of time and love into this. I think it would be really difficult for me to trust someone enough to let them put a permanent artwork on my skin, but I think I would trust in your hand! Again, really cool stuff.

You know I really do love what it is that I do.... But occasionally you get those pieces that super-cede that typical love and become downright works of passion. This is one of those for me. Thank you for noticing the attention to detail as that aspect of it, while keeping it distinguished and readable and not a complete mess to discern, was the most tricksy aspect of this particular piece. Take care friend :)

ah...tattoos...i don't like needles much but i want to get one of the blade type tattoo of a dragon head on my back stretching from back shoulder to shoulder and narrow down to the mid lower back....but my parents won't pay for it...

Like Triscal said, it's more like a scratch than any other type of needle-like stuff. That being said, it DOES hurt (mine's in the same spot you want yours. x_X), it kind of feels like a bad cat scratch, only drawn out longer. But, it's worth it in the end.

yes i guess so and my teacher who has like five said that its like a bad knee scrape on the curb side for a couple of weeks, but not as painful as an injection where it pierces muscle.

Save up! :)

As far as needles go, its not really anything like the intravenus (sp?) or intra-muscular needles you contend with when getting shots.... Tattoo needles are much smaller and don't even penetrate sub-cutaneous (anywhere beneath the skin it itself). It's like comparing being stabbed in a sense to being scratched.... No comparison really..
